That’s a good tiip - which HAs did you choose? I note that one of the 3 Costco choices this year claims days and days from each charge.
I wear Signia AX7 aids. My provider will send off the aids for new batteries at year two and three, free of charge. And give loaners if I want. I’m told here that Rexton at Costco is equivalent to Signia.
I’m traveling, and when I moved from one place to another, I forgot where I put my charger, so my HAs ran out of juice. I tried buying a charger from a ReSound dealer and Costco - neither had any in stock for sale. I found the charger, but I was without HAs for a few hours while helping an old mentor under a lot of stress.
I figure the older I get, the more likely I am to misplace stuff. For example, I spent some of yesterday (another move on this trip) looking for some necessary meds and sunglasses.
So … misplace a charger, and I’m SOL. Misplace a battery pack, and I’m very likely to be able to pick up new batteries anywhere I’m likely to be.
I can definitely relate to that. I misplaced my current KS9s for almost a month, but fortunately after the first couple hours of panic I remembered that I kept my older KS7s in their case in the gadget box I keep next to my recliner. I popped fresh batteries into them and wore them for almost a month before I found my current KS9s. I plan to do the same with them when I buy one of the new rechargeable models at Costco. And/or maybe I’ll buy the one that I think comes with a spare charger for traveling?
(After I donated my first pair of hearing aids (Phonaks) years ago in a mailer to some charitable outfit in Chicago, I always regretted not first removing their custom earmolds. They fit my ears perfectly like tiny jewels, and I’ve never been able to get anyone to replicate their fit, and of course they would not have been of any use to whoever got those hearing aids.)
I don’t know anything about the Rextons, but I have the Jabras. The battery life of the Jabras is one of its advantages. I have never come remotely close to running out of charge in a day- even when I spend a lot of time using the TV streamer.
