Ma needs help - Widex Aikia or Oticon Syncro?

Greetings!

My 86-year old mother just had a hearing test and needs aids for both ears. The audiologist recommended the Aikia or the Syncro - anyone have an opinion as to which is considered better? Any other brands to recommend for consideration?

Thank you.

i generally prefer oticon Hearing aids over widex, but im not sure I like the syncro. You see, I would pick a Vigo pro (it is cheaper than sincro)
and it performs better plus is a smaller instrument…

i never really like sincro, Sincro has a curvilinear compresion sistem
a sound level for soft, voice and loud… overall the compression for soft to voice had always been high and confor. so this was no problem

but when the sounds reached voice, the compression between voice to loud becomes almost linear. This is because according to some genious eng…
people discriminate better with the instrument set almost to linear…

That said, Most of my sincro clients told me the same thing…
i get exausted at the end of the days, i can wait to take them off–
