Looking for words for discribing kinds of unsatisfactory voice experience

I have a pair of 2 yr old Signia Styletto hearing aids. I am 88 years old.

Q1 - What are the names and descriptions to call different kinds of experienced sound distortion of voice? This is to help me to describe accurately what I hear when trying to understand peoples voices.

Q2 - How can I determine whether change in hearing experience over several years is due to my hearing aids or changes to my biology? Which is most prevalent in the population?

First off you should be getting annual hearing test. I am not sure howvto explain the sounds you hear when you only hear them. Si common complaints are not understanding soft spoken people, not understanding female voices, not understanding foreign language voices, when they speak youe language. In a few individuals not understanding male voices. And off course my biggest complaints is people talking too fast, and people that don’t get my attention before trying to talk to me.

My hearing test involves a tone test and a word recognition test with loud white noise playing in the ear opposite of the ear.
