LE Audio and the Future of Hearing

I wonder if the Multi-Mic+ can be used while plugged into the charger. It might be nice if it is semi-permanently installed in front of a sound bar or TV. As opposed to the TV Streamer+

It is very likely. It works with the Multi-Mic without the “+” (the pre-Auracast version). My Android phone does not support ASHA, so I connect the Multi-Mic to the phones headphone jack with a male-male adapter and I charge it at the same time. Same procedure when listening to audio from the PC.

It would produce an inferior sound quality - especially from the TV speakers. Best result with TV Streamer+ - second best would be to connect the Multi-Mic to the headphone jack of the TV as shown above.

Thank you for the instructions. It is the same as how I use the TV Streamer+

I hope this updated model Mini-Mic+ gets some elements from the future too, like USB type-c and auto-poweroff when nothing is playing for too long or when nothing is connected.

These are the two things that made me frustrated with this product (old one)

I can use the Multi-Mic while charging unless I’ve let the battery run down too much. When the battery is close to dead, it will only recharge until it gets some minimum charge; then I can start using it again. I monitor the LED while using the Multi-Mic

I still can’t find anywhere to buy one of these Philips Auracast dongles. Has anyone else?

LE Audio firmware update is now available for the IX platform it was slow but at least it’s now here.

Hope the Rexton Reach will follow soon, can the firmware update be done DYI with the fitting software?

Yeah definitely won’t be far away, there’s no reason for them to not go this, and yes definitely Connexx will do the firmware update.

Thanks tenkan I checked out the Connexx software for firmware updates yesterday not available yet now just waiting

Yeah just have to wait, actually you’ll get a notification from the update manager when it’s available, you can set it up to check day or weekly.

Back to the Denon soundbar. Just in case anyone buys it on my say so, it’s just a LE Audio sink. Not a transmitter. Not sure why that didn’t stick the first three times I read the manual. I wasn’t smoking anything interesting at the time. Promise.

It looks like a nice well-priced little soundbar for general purposes though.

Based on the info from their product launch conference, their DLM3551 dongle should hit the shelf in this quarter Q4/2024. They were obscure about how exactly its Auracast would work with other Auracast receivers like hearing aids. But I think, technically, it’s very similar to the USB LE Audio dongle bundled with Creative Zen Hybrid Pro Classic.

Excellent, keep us updated on this, hopefully if won’t be hard to find something.

I had assumed that an update to the rexton app would also be required to set the aids to receive Auracast or Le Audio but the app has not been updated

You need the App to use LE Audio with Auracast? It’s in bluetooth settings on you phone if it supports it right?
