Just a quick one: I wear hearing aids with large power domes that seem to close my ears pretty tightly.

Are the large power domes safe to be a concerts with, in order to protect my hearing (obviously while keeping the HAs off?). Or is it much better if I wear actual earplugs?

I’d say always wear proper hearing protection like earplugs or noise canceling earmuffs.

I use power domes too. What I do for loud concerts is to stuff $20 Etymotic earplugs into my ears in addition to my HAs. This gives me more hearing protection than just the power domes. I think that using just the power domes is insufficient.

Then I reduce the volume on my HAs to the minimum setting and then gradually increase the volume until I hit the minimum volume that sounds decent. This works for me.
