I know that everyone says you can only use the Easy Line app with the Costco KS10, but if you look at the Easy Line app reviews on the Apple app store, a number of people who have the Costco KS9 say the MyPhonak app works fine with their HA, and in fact it works much better than Easy Line.

Are there any KS10 users reading this who have tried MyPhonak?

I pick up my KS10 this Weds and was wondering if I should nudge the fitter to give it a try while I am in the store.

Thanks.

Yup - tried it - didn’t work. Only Easyline appears to work for me - they appear to be essentially the same anyway - although easyline can be a week or more behind MyPhonak with updates IIRC

Didn’t work for me when I switched from KS9 to 10. Like the EZline app better any way

Yeah. I got my KS10s a few days ago and was surprised to learn it was the Easy Line app.

After some experience with it - it is not much different from the MyPhonak App. Some of the configuration options - like bass/treble/mid are laid out differently and there are some new option buttons - like Relax. Also, because it’s a KS10, there are battery perecentage indicators for both aids.

The big downside is that it is sometimes painfully slow to connect. This is really frustrating when I have needed to reconnect to a TV Connector during a zoom call. I am thinking about getting a remote control but also need to set the balance during the call - so I don’t know if that’s possible. Definitely - there should be a solution that is instant. Having to switch the aids on and off to reconnect is a huge pain - and does not give any confidence in work/social situations.

This is a great idea.
I believe you should be able to balance the stream/mic’s with the toggle switch on the aids if set up that way in the software.
Good luck

That’s encouraging. Thanks - I will ring Costco.
