I had similar hearing loss ever since I can remember, from high school on. Did just fine in school and professionally, but always knew I had trouble hearing. Saw audiologist and ENT in my late 30s which is now 15 years ago. At the time they told me I didn’t really need them, maybe the aids weren’t that good back then. Got my first pair about 5 years ago and wish I’d had them since high school. You kind of don’t realize what you’re missing until you hear it
