The office where I work has started placing white noise ‘security’ sound masking devices outside of most offices. These cause my hearing aids to be nearly unusable.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I was recently a juror at a trial. For the “approach the bench” moments i expected them to use sound masking. They didnt - they just talked quietly. What you describe sounds obnoxious. If you’re in USA and the company is big enough, then Americans with Disabilities Act could help you. Is there a way to reasonably accommodate your situation? At least remove the sound from outside your office if that’s a problem area. Maybe a door instead.
