Wow! We got a bit off topic, huh? Pick up trucks and iOS 16.1.
Anyway, I hadn’t much noticed a problem with my HAs (Phonak M13T) until today. What I noticed was that my Roger wasn’t relaying from the TV. And also, for some reason, the HAs weren’t paired to my iPhone any more.
I think the problem was partly with the new MyPhonak app that came with the iOS update. Eventually, I “forgot” everything and repaired. The HAs and the iPhone were easy enough. I had to get the MyPhonak app on board by forgetting and repairing within the app itself. Last I checked, I was once again good to go.
Yes, all the pairing and unpairing and worrying about connectivity is a PITA, but having my HAs paired to my iPhone or my Roger Select iN is a total blessing once I get past the PITA parts. I’m willing to put up with some pain if it eventually means I can understand the TV without blasting my spouse out of the room, or more importantly, be able to go out to dinner with said spouse and be able to converse with her in a noisy restaurant, which appears to be all that exists anymore. Ah, the good old days of white table cloths, carpeted floors, and lots of room between the tables.
