iPhone issues with Resound Nexia

Hi there,
I’ve fairly recently switched to Resound Nexia, to replace my discontinued Resound LiNX Quattros.

I used the LiNX for a few years, and could happily use them paired to my iPhone (various models, up to my current iphone 16).

Since I switched to the Nexia, while they still work fine for audio output on my phone, if I make calls, people can barely hear me, and I end up having to change audio device away from the aids to the native phone. It seems like they are overriding the mic input of the phone somehow.

Has anyone else experienced this, or have a better idea what’s happening and how to address it?

(thought I’d check the community before trying to get my audiologist involved!)

Thanks for any advice

The fix for this is to stop the phone using your hearing aid microphones as the mic for your phone. This is all part of the tap to answer feature, but in my experience it doesn’t work well enough to be useable.

Anyway if you click on your right hand side button on your iPhone three times to bring up the hearing aid menu. Expand the hearing aids sub-menu and scroll down to “Mic input” then switch that to off. Then.back out of the menus and you should be good to go.

Exactly what I needed, and can’t believe I didn’t notice that! Thanks David, appreciated.
