Short answer - sudden hearing loss with unknown cause.
Long answer -
Woke up one day last February and felt like my ear was clogged and couldn’t hear. Went to primary care doc who said probably clogged eustasion tube and it would go away. Then two months of colds/pneumonia that cycled thru myself and kids. I had 2 doctor visits during that time, and mentioned I still couldn’t hear. They kept saying it was related to the colds.
Finally in May or June I saw an ENT. He said sudden hearing loss. I had a mri to rule out anything else. Had course of oral and injected steroids. Had another hearing test after treatment was completed. Gained 10db of hearing plus improved word recognition. (Results in sig below). Prior to treatment hearing loss was 55 - 65db and word recognition score was 68%.
So very long answer. Not sure what to think.
