I still wonder about manufacturers of these occupancy detectors using continuous ultrasonic emissions. I would think that this is something to be concerned about in the workplace. Just because normal adult humans can’t hear it, doesn’t mean that it could not have a long-term effect on one’s hearing. I would lobby management to change them out to IR detectors.
I wonder if the Trax 42 could have their ultrasonic functions disabled via reprogramming? It would mean that you would have to use the BT interface with a phone. I never use the ultrasonic interface with my phone, because is is a bit of a pain pair it every time you want to use it.
