Terost a lot of my CI friends here in Aus didn’t hear from their CI ear for longer than you. One friend was 40 yrs and she has gotten a good result. 85% binaural and aided, she did have to do a lot of rehab though and it wasn’t easy finding the time to do it. But the end result was so worth it for her.

Yes that’s true. After fitting with CI, requires lots of rehab. I was told by an audiologist that I shouldn’t wait until my left ear hearing is completely gone. I will do an evaluation sometime this year.
Terost what your AuD said is so true. If you are thinking about an evaluation, the sooner the better. While you can still understand speech it will be easier than when you can’t.
