Hearing in the car

Yeah that’s probably because the music program has all the “advanced features” turned off or at the lowest settings, still what type of concert did you go to, rock or something else, usually ones ears are left ringing for a little while after this.

Marvel M90’s, Jazz concert, not too loud. I’m sure part of the great sound in car was due to the wide focus of the music program but I often use the 360 setting in cars if there are passengers in the back seat and the music setting was far better.

I agree. I always feel if you want to find out how much sound is being processed out in any program, switch to the Music program and compare.

I tried the music program in the car and it did make a difference.

There are a lot of replies here, and I guess the questioner is satisfied.
My thought is that it sounded like a directional mic issue–“front” vs. “all around”. Trying different settings for sound pickup should yield improvements.
My own experience: I wear the Bose Hearphones which have a strong noise suppression function. When I’m driving, it does a v. good job of dampening outside noise, as well as engine noise. Yet I can hear a passenger sitting next to me quite well. Normally, I have the HAs set on “front” which includes “side-to-side”. It covers most normal situations for me. I seldom have a back seat passenger. If I did, “all-around” pickup would do the job.
