Hard or soft Phonak Slim Tip?

I’ve been using hard Slim Tips for almost a year now. About 2 weeks ago one broke while I was cleaning it. Phonak replaced it for no charge. Yesterday I took my HA’s out and put them in the soft carrying case while I was getting a haircut. I opened the bag and found that the other Slim Tip had cracked in multiple places. I obviously need to get it replaced although somehow I can still use it.
My question is whether or not there is a sound difference between the soft Slim Tip and the hard Slim Tip. I know it’s a fluke that they broke twice in two weeks (once being my fault) but now I’m cynical.
Any opinions on soft vs hard Slim Tips soundwise? I’ll switch to soft if it lessens the breakage potential.
