hansaton shd claim 30 sensor + 700 time per second scanning of environment does it help in real world? if combined with their algorihm if some one tried it wondering

They all do about the same. Why hansaton? They are a reseller and often older models.

Not sure what sensor means in this context. I assume it is some channel processing capability. (DSP) That’s what they all do. @rasmus_braun can probably tell you what model it really is if you post the model info for it.

If it is price, have you looked at buyhear and such as a way to get current models?

That is just advertising. I see that it requires a different (Scout) interface to program the aids which is likely proprietary.

Some marketing guy gave a view of hardware that’s oriented to selling rather than good info. It is hype.

Sonova is the Phonak company. They bought Hansaton, a retailer, a few years ago. You could go to the Phonak website for more information. Phonak is one of the big 6 hearing aid manufacturers and many consider those 6 very competitive. They all have some creative marketing and claim, of course, that their hearing aids are far superior to anything else.

There is nothing wrong with Phonak aids and many people do report great success with them. But keep in mind that people swear by all 6 of the big brands, and, people swear at all 6 brands as well!

I’ll use this to share comments from an audiologist I’m seeing. He compared them to luxury car brands: Lexus, Mercedes, BMW, etc. Which is better? It depends. They’re all good. Some are better at certain things than others, but to state anyone is grossly superior (or inferior) is ludicrous. All can be adjusted to do the job.

If it has the SWORD chip it is closely related to either the Phonak B90 Direct or the Unitron Moxi ALL.

eta: Scout fitting software is not locked/proprietary for Hansaton SHD hearing aids.
