I do not know really what to do about earwax and cleaning my ears. I know ow this will sound kind of dumb. Most of the time I find very little wax when I clean my ears (I’m not endorsing products, but I usually use things like Debrox or Earwax MD.) but every time I go to the audiologist, they almost always have to clean a lot of earwax out of one or both of my ears. What gives?
The one thing i have been told by doctor and the ent is that you should never put anything in your ear and that if need to you can use the olive drops to soften the wax and if that doe’snt help then you should look to getting your ears professionally cleaned and not attempt to use q tips or anything like that to clean your ears yourself
Same here. I use “Q Tips”. Never had an issue. Sometimes, I’ll wet them with either peroxide, or 91% rubbing alcohol. Does a better job that way. I am not saying this is the proper way to do it, and I am not suggesting that anyone else do it this way. It is just the method I use. In warm weather, with molds in my ears, they get sweaty inside, and I have to clean them frequently. That has nothing to do with wax build up.
The ear canal gets moisted from sweat so l remove my aids for 30 mins to let dry before using the aids again.
l have an ear cleaning set and ear camera. There were times that l wasn’t able to remove the earwax so l go see my primary care doctor or physician assistant and have the nurse clean my ears.
I keep an ear syringe handy in the shower and use it frequently. My doctor asked me how I keep my ears so clean.
