Yes. I carry an extra 6-pack in a mesh-bag in my purse, and I also have at least one extra pair in each of the other bags I carry with me. (I have young children, so I always have a bag with me!) I keep thinking about storing some in my van, but then I forget to do so. That would probably be a good idea.
I’m also thinking I will start changing my batteries every 7-days so as to get on a schedule. I don’t like the random “surprise” of having them die when I’m out volunteering somewhere.

Yeah, I change mine every other week on Mondays’ mornings because they last over a little couple weeks from what I have tested in the past. So far, this works for me but I still want to keep extra working batteries if they die prematurely. That part sucks. I do swap old and new unused batteries every other month in my wallet since they seem to die fast even if not used and tapes are still secured on them. SOmeone said it is heat related.

It isn’t a bad idea to carry a packet of wax guards too. I have need to change one when out. I keep them and a plastic carrier for batteries in my left pocket. Keys and change go in the right.

If I’m not at home I always have one of my vehicles with me, so I just keep a spare pack of batteries in every one of my cars as well as a pack in my office desk drawer. No need to carry these in my pocket

I always have a big supply of 675s somewhere around: in my office desk, my computer bag, my wallet, my cars (both) and of course at home. It’s a real fear to have my batteries die and have no backup.

For my wallet I just keep them in a very small ziplock bag.

Following that thought - should batteries be kept in refrigerator for storage?   They all come w. a long pull date and no mention is made on how to store them.

I would expect the condensation that is likely to form in the refrigerator to be potentially damaging to the batteries.

I just store them at room temperature.

No, they should be kept at room temperature. Try to avoid excessive heat. That is similar to regular batteries.

I used to carry 2 batteries with back tabs in half a contact case in my pocket. When needed they would last only a short time. Now I carry a pack that the top tears off and I round top edges. Still only last a short time but better.

Household refrigerators are bad places to store batteries, for this reason.

I don’t think a wallet will excess 30°C which is just fine for batteries, or even 40°C

Life of a Battery in my wallet didn’t significantly decrease compared to the ones on my shelf in 4 years of having that habit, had enough time to test and safely continue to carry a pack of batteries in there…

I keep two batteries in a soft Phonak travel case along with a pack of wax guards. Wax guards have a habit of clogging up unexpectedly with me.

I try to never forget the little cat-treat tin that I carry my aids in, and in there there’s a wax guard and two batteries, in a tiny ziploc bag.

But then I also just stuff them in pockets, etc. etc. too when I’m going out. Finding them is one routine pre-laundry task.

I buy my batteries on line, and one of the vendors sent a little plastic case that holds 2 of my batteries (312’s). It has a keychain on it, but I just carry it in my pocket and rotate them into my HA’s when I think of it.

I dont but thats because im using thr Phonak Audeo B-R rechargables so far they are lasting from the time i wake up untill i go to bed and put them on the charger, hope the lithium ion battery lasts a while :slight_smile:

I just keep a couple of batteries and a waxguard-tool-thing in a little ziploc bag inside the little metal tin I put my aids in.
