Yes I did try this. What happened was the sound from the hearing aid diminished which made using the aid in left ear useless. Basically, the implanted hearing took over. The audi’s at the hospital said this was due to the brain learning the implanted sound is more beneficial than the using the hearing aid.

I am waiting for the day when a fully internal cochlear implant is released

The issue is sorted. It is not the aid but my ear. Due to dead regions in the cochlea, the sound is distorted. I have increased compression a few days thanks to Um_Bango and now it is much better! There is very a small amount of distortion but it doesn’t bother me as much it did before. For music; I am using the music program
