Hello everyone,
I adjust my hearing aid myself (and occasionally go to an audiologist).
I have 2 types of hearing aids:
- Oticon More 1 + cross
- Widex Moment Ite (right ear only, left ear without device)
The Oticon More hearing aids work great (it took a lot of time and visits to the audiologist until I got a satisfactory result).
On the other hand, the second device, I DIY myself.
My main problem is that there is probably some frequency or sound threshold that causes discharge in my ear, a real feeling of discomfort. And so I have to lower the device (no feedback or anything like that), just full of secretions from my ear on the hearing device (really able to feel it in the ear going towards the hearing device).
I did a test several times, when I aimed the Widex hearing aid and put it at low volume (less than my hearing threshold according to the audiogram), I could go whole days without discharge from the ear.
First question, how can I know which frequency/sound threshold causes discomfort in my ear?
Second question, beeping in the vehicle of an alarm system (such as Mobilai), the noise itself is very loud, at a level of discomfort for me, how do I know what frequency and what to change in a hearing aid in order to lower this specific noise.
In the settings of the Widex CompassGps software, there are sound settings for each frequency: soft, normal, and loud.
My problem is to classify certain sounds that I know bother me, classify them by frequency, and what type of sound it affects.
I would appreciate your help please.
Thanks
