I am currently trialling some Wides Dream 440 Fusion RIC aids. The audi first tried tulip domes, but they were too open.
We then went to small double domes, but they felt too large. The extra small double domes are too small.

Since I had some Starkey occluded domes. I am trying them. They appear to fit the receivers OK.

Has anybody else had experiences mixing brands on domes & aids? If this does not work, my only alternative for these aids would be using custom ear tips.

I’ve been using Phonak domes on Starkey aids. Someone once posted that the audi does need to run the feedback manager with whatever domes you’re using.

Thank you.
When I went from tulip domes to double domes, the audi did not think she needed to run the feedback manager, but she did anyway,
I do notice a little feedback with the Starkey domes, but not as much as there was with the tulip domes. I will mention the dome change at my next trial appoinemtne.

Hi I use Phonax Smokey tulip domes on my Resound Aleras. They work better than the original double domes with almost zero occlusion. mainly they are softer than the original and more comfortable. They come in a slightly different fit to the original resound ones.
Resound tulip open dome Large is larger than the Respound version.
Resound tulip open dome Small is smaller than the Resound version. you can swap and change them round to get a better fit.
I have Left ear Original resound Large fit or Phonax open dome
Right ear Phonax Medium or Resound Small fit tulip open dome.
So far I have not had to run the feedback manager.
I get a very slight feedback in the left ear with particular tones at specific volume, ie Iphone standard message received tone… other than that all is good with no feedback.
regards ian

I use Oticon minifit domes on Starkey products with many of my patients, since they have 15 sizes vs. 6 for Starkey. Their receivers are basically the same size, so it works well.
