Anybody get the My Phonak app to work with your KS 10’s? Easyline app works, but I thought I read that someone here said they were using the My Phonak app. I get an error massage on the My Phonak app saying my aids are not compatible. It does find and ID my aids however.
It doesn’t work with the KS10’s, only the KS9’s.
That’s kinda weird that it works with the 9’s but not the newer 10’s. Thanks for the info.
When the 9’s came out, they only worked with the EasyLine at first and then a firmware update allowed it to work with the myPhonak.
Maybe the same will happen with the 10’s?
Do the KS10s have a locating feature in case you lose one or both?
Nope - sorry - they don’t
Got it. Thank you.

Anybody else seeing their right aid’s battery draining faster than the left? Mine start out the day with the left 100% and the right 99%. For some reason the right never charges to 100%. But my main concern is that by midday the right battery is 5% lower, and when I put them in the charger at night the right one is down 10% more than the left.
Yes it’s been mentioned quite a few times, especially for Bluetooth streaming, right side is set as master and transfers the signal to the left (slave) so uses more power.
Or if you have a high power receiver on the right and a standard on the left, this would also happen, but I’m not sure if would be 10% difference tho.
Makes sense. The right uses more energy because it receives the streaming and then sends it to the left aid. I have disposable batteries, but the right always dies first.
That make sense. I am using P receivers, but on both sides. I have a follow-up appointment with my fitter on the 22nd, so I’ll ask her and see if she has the same explanation.
If you carry your phone in a left pocket you might ask your fitter to change the Bluetooth master aid to the left rather than the right.
I have read it could help with phone call reception.
My fitter had me set my phone on the counter at the Costco hearing aid center and walk 20 feet away so we could check the phone operation. It sounded just as good as it did in my pocket.
I put a “find my bluetooth” app on my Galaxy and already used it once to find an aid that I had dropped outside when pulling off a mask.
For any Bluetooth, though, Classic or LE, straight line of sight through air travels better than through some body(trying to be punny). So if your phone is in your rear pocket for example, depending on your girth, etc., BT might have a bit more to go through than 20 ft through the air.
I have the KS10’s and often forget that it is on a charging stand. It sometimes keeps streaming when I change rooms!
I’m getting phone notifications to my aids when my phone is in my home office, even when I’m outside my house 40-50 feet away at times! I typically keep my phone in my right front pocket, so the right aid being the main is probably the best for me anyway.
Thanks, I’ll check that out.
As others have mentioned, this is normally because of the right HA being the Bluetooth master. If by chance, the hearing in your right ear is worse than your left, this can also increase this issue. Though with this latter case, your fitter can switch your left HA to be the master.
Recently I have also noticed that If my HAs are connected to both my phone & my mac simultaneously, the right HA will drop even faster, as much as 20% lower battery than the left HA by the end of the day. Because of this, I have started only connecting it to my computer when needed.
Could you tell us specifically which app you used and who wrote it? I see many for Android with similar names.
Thanks…
