I am using standard settings. I think you have found the issue. When I changed setting, it turned the left aid back on normally. Thanks
I’m a new user of Jabra hearing aids. Formerly a Resound user for 5 years and now wearing Jabra Enhanced 20. I’ve had a similar instance of the left side going out but hearing in the right side when I rub the left hearing aid. I’ve also had issues of one side going out and the next day after charging all was ok. Then a day or so later the other side would go out. The Costco specialist said he had no idea what could be the cause. I’m about 2 months into wearing the Jabra and it seems like to many little issues are causing me to go back to Costco for a fix. I was assuming the Jabra was going to be like the resound I had as they went in on day one and I never had an issue until switchiing to the Jabra.

What phone do you have with the Jabra HAs?
This is caused by the focussing mechanism which tries to focus on the source of speech while cancelling out noise. It is automatic in the All Around mode, also in the Speech in Noise (or whatever Jabra call it). I happens with Resound Omnia and Nexia (aka Jabra enhance pro 10 and 20).
It’s easily prevented if the audiologist picks a different focusing algorithm when setting the hearing aids up in SmartFit. And if it happens to you while you are trying to listen to something that the aid has interpreted as noise, you can switch to any other program and back again and that forces the aid to think again.
