Perhaps Hearing Tracker already has an article like this on its main site. While hunting around for information on hearing loss, I came across this Mayo Clinic general information page on Hearing Loss that seems to do a nice job of condensing a lot down into a much shorter, highly readable form, emphasizing symptoms, causes, and prevention (can’t generate a preview from the link).
By comparison, this OSHA manual on noise and hearing loss, which I’ve referenced in part in another thread, represents more of “the full monty” of hearing (orig. meaning of Brit term meaning “the full presentation”):
Explains basic qualities of sound, how we hear, and provides a general explanation of types of hearing loss, along with extensive engineering level of detail on preventing hearing loss through noise.
