Thinking about it and I qualify but with “reservations” since there is a discrepancy between my ability to hear sounds and poor ability to understand voice recognition.
You need a provider that is familiar with reverse slope. Many set lower frequencies too high. Ask your fitter to set up the second program with a reduction in low frequencies and compare/contrast the results. Keep working for the optimum solution.
That’s a pickle because you can hear, but not understand much especially in noise. You should really try to find a surgeon who is able to preserve residual hearing when implanting the CI. Try reaching out to Dan Scwhartz who manages the reverse slope hearing loss and ANSD Facebook groups.
just wanted to see if any update to this thread? i have ANSD and reverse slope… looking into a CI … looking for any input/advice
