I would NOT recommend a future patient watch videos. Knowledge about lens options, sure. The rest is just about showing up and trying to get a nap in. I hate appointments of any kind and this was a breeze.
The surgery what I had BEFORE the lens procedure for those that aren’t squeamish
I removed one lens from my old glasses and ground a +2.5 bifocal lens from cheap reading glasses to fit. It worked fine for the few weeks I waited to get the second eye done. The worst part of the whole experience was the morning after the first surgery before the patch was removed. It was a case of blind in one eye and can’t see out of the other.
Reminded me of the morning after my second surgery when I took my patch off and looked in the mirror. I had double vision. My brain sorted it out pretty quickly, but it was a bit of a surprise. I agree that the surgery was a piece of cake. If one wants to geek out over lens choices, that’s fine, but one doesn’t need to. Mono lenses work fine.
I had my right eye done last year. I used the same Dr. that my girlfriend had they did both her eyes. I got my VA Dr. to give me a referral to use the outside Dr. Both me and my girlfriend had great surgeries. Our Dr. does the drop less surgery so we didn’t have to deal with drops afterward. We had no problems
