Can a build up of ear wax lead to hearing impairment and what can i do to treat this?
If you have wax that is causing a hearing loss have the wax removed by an ENT. If that’s what is causing your loss, then with the wax out the loss will be gone. Wax doesn’t cause permanent hearing loss.
Is there any treatments I can use myself to ease the blockage?
You should have some ear wax in your ears but if you have an to much you need to go to an ENT and they can clean them for you and then they can tell you how to keep them clean. Mine told me to use Hydrogen Peroxide and a bulb syringe followed by warm to mildly hot water to flush out my ears and I do it every other month and every time I go into my Audi she says " my your ears are clean" so it must be working. If you have a lot of wax this could also be causing your need to pop your ears. Go see an ENT.
