Anyone know of an EQ I could connect the TV to, that in addition to having some remote ( BT ) control of the EQ, would also have an AGC circuit ( auto gain control ) which would level out the loud commercials and uneven audio between TV segments, before going into the Various hearing aid TV Streamers we use ?
I don’t use an equalizer, but I did add an inexpensive Digital/Analog Converter (DAC) between my Sony TV TOSLINK output and my Phonak TV converter to give me a convenient volume control and remote with mute for commercials.

surprised I cannot find a unit that has AGC, to attenuate the damn commercials!
Ideally would like it to have some sort of EQ.
Toslink has always been crisper audio for me. So not eager to revert back to analogue audio input.
From experience, the quality of sound out of this DAC is far superior to what I got from my Sony TV’s internal conversion, when I had my Phonak TV connected to the analog headphone jack. I did not notice a difference in quality between this DAC and direct connection between TOSLINK and Phonak TV.
OK. Maybe I will try it… but main thing I care about is AGC, and EQ, and remote control of those.
No one likes the loud commercials, figure there would be an add on module to level out the sound.
I was just grateful for any kind of volume control without using the app…
