Apple just released iOS 16.4

Yep I have my iPad and iPhone set that way and still have issues at times.

I installed 16.4.1 (that is what General>/About reports) and my Phonak Audéo L-90R hearing aids no longer offer the option to stream iPhone SE 2020 audio to the hearing aids.
Is this Apple’s discourtesy?
I understand the import of fixing a 0 day attack promptly. I hope that fixing what the ‘fix’ broke with regard to using my iPhone with my hearing aids can be promptly done.
For what it is worth, MyPhonak never stays connected. I have problems with sound levels being poorly controlled in public settings. A switch from a speaker to music demands a quick manual adjustment to avoid further hearing damage. Quick seems impossible for Phonak; my ReSound LiNX3D devices did not have this problem.

Did you forget the aids, reboot the phone then pair the aids again?

The problem was gone this morning, 4/10/23.
Perhaps the NPR app needed to be patched to recover from changes made by Apple.

thanks for your patience

I figured that the audio won’t route from iPhone to Ipad (or the other way around) in some cases. For instances, if my Oticon Mores are connected to my iPad, it usually won’t route to iPhone if I play an audio in whatsapp or spotify. But if I play apple music or apple tv it does, then I can use whatsapp or spotify. So, this is the trick: if audio routing is not working, try and play an audio from apple music ;).

For me I can force the switch over by playing an audiobook from my kindle app, it will work either way
