A few questions regarding Oticon Xceed 1 UP

  1. Would anyone know why Speech Booster has disappeared in my App?

Has Oticon decided to stop it?

I wear Oticon Xceed 1 UP.

  1. A question that has been totally confused, why can I change programs but my Bluetooth streaming still stays.

It feels like I’m listening differently to Bluetooth when I change programs.

With Phonak, changing programs would stop the Bluetooth streaming.

  1. I also like that the audiologist can change the name of each program.

Phonak doesn’t allow this.

  1. I’ve tried to Google this but does anyone know what Open Automatic means? My hearing aids apparently do this.

No idea why. It is still there on my iPhone connected to Intent 1’s. Hope you find out why.

Hi Zebras,
I also wear Oticon Exceed 1 UP. My app shows speech in noise. Is this the same as speech booster ?
I still have the speech in noise on my phone. I have an android phone.
Laura

No it should be a separate button at the bottom of the volume control. It’s an extra boost in speech in noise when you click on it.

A separate button at the bottom 0f the volume control.
On the app ?
WOW. I never had that ! I would love to though.

The SpeechBooster is still there in my iPhone 13.Using Oticon Companion 1.3.1 Still can be used.

Maybe delete the Companion and download a new one. Sometimes the Apps are unstable.

Thanks @dankailo I’ve got it back now.

@Laura_B It’s the button at the bottom of the volume control. I’ve got it back now.

Zebras,
I don’t have all those buttons.
This is all I have. I deleted the app and re-installed it. But still no luck.

@Laura_B

Oh that’s weird. That was what my iPhone showed yesterday.

What firmware are you on your hearing aids? The App will tell you.

8.0
What’s really odd, this is all I ever had with this app.
Maybe it’s because it’s android ?

I sent an email to the oticon app customer support. I’m curious as to what they say.

Maybe @cvkemp mignt know as he used to have iPhone but has moved to Android.

I heard back from Oticon.
They suggested that I get back with my audiologist so that she should check out specific settings during the fitting session. She should be able to check the fitting software.
I will get a hold of her today.

@Laura_B

Are you able to show her my screenshot of my App so your audiologist knows what you mean?

What you’re missing is the Speech Booster, Streaming equaliser and Remote Microphone.

Streaming equaliser might not be on Android as HAs don’t work on Android.

Yes, thank you Zebras. I have the screen shot. I do not care for the streaming so that part doesn’t matter. The speech booster is what I am really interested in .
As you can see from my audiogram, our hearing loss is similar.
I think the speech booster will really help.

I’ll let you know what I find out.
Thank you for all your help.

I have this button in my Companion

Is it prescription related?

Do you have Android or iphone ?

My audiologist is insisting that it is not available for the xceed. I know @Zebras has it on her app, but I beleive she has an iphone. Maybe it has to do with android verses iphone.
I sent another email to oticon about this. I do not know of anyone that has an android phone with the Oticon app. Frustrating !

Michael,

This is an app for your phone/hearing aids.

So, I heard back from oticon.
They replied:

I’m waiting on my audiologist to see what she says.

That’s rubbish from Oticon as mine is set to max on software.

Simple = 3dB and Complex = 9dB.

I have Xceed 1 UP.
