Morning!

Wondering if anyone knows of any 9mm Open Domes that are compatible with a Oticon OPN MiniRITE?

I have a standard high-frequency loss so I’m assuming open domes are preferred to let low frequencies in naturally. (Sorry for not posting my audiogram, haven’t had a chance to get it yet.)

I’ve been using 8mm open domes, which work but I get whirring/warbling from the feedback shield kicking in. I tried a 10mm dome and it was not was too large and I could not really get it in my ear. When I did, it lessened the feedback, but seemed to cut the high-frequency tones but that may have been a fit.

I’m a little stuck as I din’t really want to go to a non-open dome as I feel that doesn’t make sense with my hearing loss and I like having natural lows, but the feedback shield is annoying.

Help? Any 9mm out there? I found one (9mm Magic Dome), but it doesn’t say it is compatible with Oticon.

My wife uses Phonak Domes on Oticon miniFit. Do a search here.

Buy an adjustable leather punch and punch holes in a single dome model. You can determine what prevents feedback and lets the most bass through for your loss.

Phonak seems to follow the standard 8mm, 10mm, 13mm sizing.

The idea is good, but this seems like it lacks the consistancy of having a dome that is the same all the time.
